Fang Jinlu, born in 1944, graduated from Zhejiang University in 1967. Scientist, cultural scholar, and Chinese painter. Formerly served as Vice Chairman of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Studies and Vice Chairman of the China National Literature and Art Network; Academician of the Royal Swedish Academy of Painting, Academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the UK, Academician of the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, Honorary Dean of the Honolulu Academy of Arts, etc.

He has created numerous excellent works of Chinese flower and bird painting and landscape painting, with a profound cultural heritage in China.
